Soon to be Sacred Heart Timbaban Parish

The Sacred Heart of Jesus Mission Station-Timbaban was established as Mission Station on July 26, 2022 as per Decree of His Excellency Bishop Corazon T. Talaoc, D.D. after much consideration and after consultation with the presbyteral council of the Diocese comprising Barangay Alaminos, Barangay Ma Cristina, Barangay Galicia, Barangay Mercedes, Barangay Bacyang, Barangay Talangban, Barangay Talimagao, and Barangay Catabana.

These barangays are mostly along Timbaban river. Concurrently, the Our Lady of Immaculate Conception in Alaminos serves as the dwelling place of the Mission Station. Despite the challenges faced by the faithful in Timbaban, many important events took place before the establishment of the Mission Station.

The significant of which were the Misa de Gallo in two barangays and the celebration of Semana Santa. The granting of these major Eucharistic and Liturgical services became the source of strength and inspiration for the people. It helped the Catholics to grow in faith, more aware and active participants in the ministries and other liturgical services. The establishment of Mission Station was not an easy task for the people of Timbaban.

During the visit of His Excellency Bishop Corazon T. Talaoc on December 21, 2020, he announced during his homily in Simbang Gabi that the Community be given a Priest to serve eight barangays with eleven chapels. Indeed, the announcement inspired the faithful to work hard in the preparation of the “Daeayunan it Pari” or “Rectory” through bayanihan. The first Mission Station Priest is Rev. Fr. Jose M. Estolloso Jr. The first Mass at the Mission Station was held on July 30, 2022, Four days after the establishment of the Mission Station.

The First Fiesta in Honor of the Sacred Heart of Jesus was celebrated on June 16, 2023. Finally, the aspirations, dreams and prayers of the community to have a Priest and to become a Parish has been realized in these days. The Sacred Heart of Jesus welcomes everyone to His humble home at the Chapel of Our Lady of Immaculate Conception in Alaminos. Hence, the Community has a plan to build a “Church” in honor of the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
